In today’s blog, we are talking about remote control toys and artificial intelligence. Yes, artificial intelligence! You will not believe just how cool toys are about to become.

At Kidzinc, we have just added the TX Juice range. If you have not heard about TX juice previously, let us explain.

TX juice builds remote control (RC) toys for boys and girls. However, they are remote control toys with a difference. Anyone who is into remote control hobbies will notice this immediately.

However, before we explain why, let us tell you what we have in our range.

1. We have the TX Juice Hover Copter (RC helicopter). This is a helicopter that is controlled by a paddle. You can even play with two paddles and move the RC helicopter between you and a friend. It has a radar sensor and detects objects to move away from.

2. The TX Juice Stunt buggy extreme. This full action remote controlled stunt buggy (RC car), moves across terrain with ease. It has spring loaded shocks, and the wheels light up at night time. It has a speed of 1.5 metres per second and can jump, do wheelies and many more stunts. It seldom get’s stuck, and can usually flip itself back to the right position.

It is an extreme buggy that has a 360% spinning and tumbling action.

3. The TX Juice Stunt Plane. This is the perfect little plane for those just starting out. It can do amazing loop the loop’s and has full RC functionality.

4. What about an RC Helicopter that can never crash. This TX Juice RC Copter has artificial intelligence (AI). The AI button function is amazing, press the control once, and it hovers waiting for the next command. The AI sensor has a built in start ensuring it can not crash on the floor beneath. This will surely save a few helicopters. I wish they all had this feature. The auto sensor that lifts it to hover will also help it land safely. We are very excited about this one.

5. TX Juice Radar Copter - is an RC copter that flies with a paddle. You can play with it by yourself or with a friend. It hits an obstacle and game over. You can use your hands, feet, body or of course included paddle to help it fly. It is a great addition to the range, and something small to begin with.

As you no doubt know by now if the toy does not offer some educational benefit, we do not stock it. The great thing about remote control toy’s or RC toys is that they help your little one develop fine motor skills. Focusing on their hand-eye co-ordination, and just as importantly their imagination.

Also, these RC toys are great for helping them understand consequences. If you do not adjust for obstacles you crash, and how to anticipate change and plan accordingly.

We are excited to be stocking this range, and we love the price too. It means almost everyone can have a remote control toy if they want too. Moreover, we feel this would be a great little Christmas present, or the perfect birthday gift.

GoldieBlox and the Parade Float

Here comes the Parade! That is GoldieBlox and the Parade Float. Just like any Parade, we have been looking forward to the launch date of this event for a while.

This is certainly one parade that will not disappoint. It is the long awaited partner to GoldieBlox’s Ruby and friends. What a wonderful partner it is. Ruby and Katinka must use all their skills to compete in the upcoming princess pageant with the hopes of riding in the town parade.

Whilst the theme is centred on the competition, the lessons learned focus on true friendship and creativity. Showing that this is far more important than any pageant or parade.

Centred on the biggest event in the whole year. The miss princess pageant finally arrives in town. Whilst competing for a chance to ride in the town pageant there can only be one winner to ride on the princess float. Without spoiling the surprise, too much Ruby wins the princess parade and is chosen to ride on the float. Katinka, who is a beautiful little dolphin, by the way is understandably disappointed.

Ruby is a good sport and does not want to make anyone feel bad. So she Goldie and Katinka set about working together to build a float for the parade. Each step of the way they work together learning how to engineer the podium first and then the float. Katinka, Ruby, and Goldie working as a team towards the day of the parade.

However, at the very last minute they find out they have no one to pull the float along, what will happen next? Well, that part of the story we will not spoil for you.

Needless to say we love this series, and we love this game. Katinka, Ruby and Goldie are wonderful friends, and the skills your daughter will learn by playing are extensive.

Your child will develop her spatial skills (the ability to understand and solve problems, of physical spaces, shapes, or forms). Your child will learn engineering principles, and how to solve problems, whilst also learning how to work towards goals.

We feel it is the perfect little girl’s toy, and it is compatible with all the GoldieBox range.

It comes with nine different design ideas, a DIY project, and unlimited building possibilities.

It is a great toy for helping your daughter build confidence, and is suitable for 4+ up.

We love this range because we feel it offers little girls something that only boys once had access to. It is fun, and it helps your child learn. The great part is they will be having too much fun to realise they are also learning.

GoldieBlox and the Dunk Tank

We are pleased to introduce you to GoldieBlox Dunk Tank. One of the newest additions to the award-winning, global phenomenon toys of 2013.

In case you missed it, the GoldieBlox range is a range of games for little girls, which expose them to engineering skills. They have been a worldwide success. There has not been another product on the market (ever) that helps bridge the gender gap like this one.

With Schleich Toys anywhere is a playground

Schleich toys, one of my husband's favourite range of toys. With Schleich anywhere is a playground, and we carry an almost complete range. Some history on Schleich, they are a German company, and if you have seen any of their toys, you will know the quality is second to none.

They began way back in 1935, and did not release their first figurines until the 1950’s. Would you believe that included Snoopy and The Smurfs?

Around the same period, they included animal figurines. The production of the Schleich range is made in Germany, and hand painted in China, and each and ever piece is still hand painted.

As you know they make an endless arrangement, and have knights, animals, dinosaurs, pets, elves, The Smurfs, and also American frontier pieces.

In 2007 Schleich released the Northern Elfen in the battle of light and dark. For us, it is the quality and variety of the Schleich range that stands out.

Whether your son or daughter wants to re-create battle like scenes with the knights, or medivial periods (a little like game of thrones for us older ones :)). Or they have more peaceful lifestyle with the farm. The choices are endless.

My Magical Robo Mermaid by Zuru

My Magical Mermaids have finally arrived in Australia. Each and every one of them is beautiful. There is Corissa, Pearl, and Shelley. Your daughter’s gentle touch brings these beautiful mermaids into life.

Social skills learnt through playing with Sylvanian Families

We all know the importance of our family, the love we share amongst each other, the hopes, dreams, and so much more. We learn this from the moment we are born, and there is nothing more important than family to us.

This is why we love Sylvanian families. It is such a wonderful collection of little families, who live together, share and enjoy their little village life. There are so many aspects to the Sylvanian families that we are unlikely to include them all in this post.

Created back in 1965, Sylvanian Families have continued to grow around the world. Their focus has always been on three main principles, nature, family, and love and what a wonderful aspiration that is.

With Sylvanian Families, your children learn key social skills. They learn how diverse families can be through the different types of families. The collections include the chocolate rabbit family, silk cat family, and the walnut squirrel family. They all might just live in a cosy cottage starter home :), or the grand Beachwood hall.

Whether you start with the cottage starter home, of cedar terrace you can start small and slowly build your village. There are eating out sets like the hamburger restaurant, juice bar for the healthier families, or the courtyard restaurant. In fact, you can build this to include the soft ice cream shop, the pizza parlour, or the popcorn cart. Luckily they all live near the forest, so they can go for a run afterwards :).

This enables you to build a little village, and that brings all of the Sylvanian communities together. Also, we personally love the tree house, as it comes with a slide, and hammock when joined with the log cabin.

All the figures are soft and warm by appearance, and are very detailed with a happy disposition. It is not trendy per se, even though it grows in popularity every single year. It is a collectable and whether your child has one family, one piece or many we know they will love playing with them.

How do we know, our daughter loves them, and her passion for them has made us fall in love with the Sylvanian families even more than we originally had.

From an education point of view, the Sylvanian families teach your child about love, social interaction, and fine motor skills. It is also great for understanding different animals and nature and emotional development. The families are always happy, and whilst life is not always that way it is a wonderful disposition to have.
